Articles and the help site
Articles are the help pieces you write for your customers' frequent questions. Every published article shows in the widget's Articles tab, becomes one of the sources the AI answers from and, if you want, goes out on a public help site that Google can find.
Writing an article
In the panel, open Content › Articles and start with New article. Every article has a title, an optional category and its content. Format the content with the toolbar: headings, lists, tables, links and images; it looks the same in the widget.
- While Show in widget is on, the article is published: visitors see it in the widget's Articles tab and the AI uses it when answering. Turn it off and it leaves both right away.
- Articles with the same category are listed together under that category's heading in the tab.
- Under each article you see how many times it was read and visitors' found it helpful votes; both come from the article reader in the widget.
- The team note is never published: customers don't see it and it does not go into the AI's sources. Information the AI found missing waits there.
The Articles tab appears in the widget's new look. If your account is on the classic look, the Articles screen says so and links to Widget settings.
Suggested articles
Suggested articles at the top of the screen lists questions from the last 90 days that were handed to your team or that the AI could not answer from the knowledge base; each row shows in how many conversations it was asked. Write and publish an article and the AI answers that question by itself next time.
- Write article opens a draft: the title is the customer's question, the content the agent's reply. Remove personal details (name, email, order number) before publishing.
- Let the AI draft it removes personal details and writes a general article; the title and content change.
- Dismiss hides the suggestion; the same question is not suggested again.
Public help site
Turn on Publish the help site on the Public help site card of the Articles screen and your published articles also go out at a public address:
https://<your-name>.semagent.ai/help
The name is the one in the address you sign in to the panel with (e.g. company.semagent.ai → company.semagent.ai/help). The switch is off by default: an article being published in the widget never meant it would show on Google, so the decision is yours.
- Which articles show: every published article; new ones are added by themselves. Remove the ones you want to keep out with Hide in the list in the card's Settings window. An article you take out of the widget leaves the site too.
- How it looks in search: the Page title (up to 70 characters) and Description (up to 160 characters) in the same window are the text shown in Google results. Leave them empty and they are derived from your company name.
- Pages: the home page has a search box and a list grouped by category, and every article has its own page. Pages are rendered on the server, so search engines read the full content. The site's buttons and headings follow the visitor's browser language (Turkish or English); article text stays as you wrote it.
Getting found on Google
While the site is on, every page is open to search engines and carries its canonical address. On top of that:
- Sitemap:
https://<your-name>.semagent.ai/help/sitemap.xmllists every published article with its last update date; the card shows this address while the site is on. - robots.txt announces the sitemap by itself; when Google crawls your site it finds the sitemap there.
- Structured data: every article page carries its title, last update date and breadcrumb (help site › article) in the form search engines understand.
Google learns about a new address from a link. The easiest way to get found sooner is to link to your help site from your own website's menu or footer.
Your own domain
Publishing the site on your own domain (e.g. help.yourcompany.com) is being prepared. Once it opens you will add your domain in the card's Settings window; until then the site is live on your semagent.ai address.
